Tom Jahnke is currently the musical director & conductor of the Chatham Band on Cape Cod which plays to upwards of 3000 people every Summer Friday Night. Starting as a trombone player in 2004, he then became the band's music librarian and assistant director. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Theater from Bridgewater State College. He has acted and directed many successful productions. He is a vocal soloist for the Outer Cape Chorale, the First Congregational Church of Harwich and enjoys playing trombone and singing with the Harwich Town Band, Sandwich Town Band, Cape Cod Moonlighters Big Band and the Sound Dunes Swing Ensemble. He has a passion for writing as seen from his summer weekly columns in the Cape Cod Chronicle. He lives in Historic Harwich Center and loves his life on Old Cape Cod.
